Hi Viglante,

thnx for the offer.  what mediums do you work in?  any 3D (which i can do a bit of)?  

the hardest thing is to come up with a design, how it'll look and what it would say.  The dot on your sig to me shows the difference in techniques over the older designs so it would be great if it had an updated appearance.  any ideas?

Those were created with Xara3D I believe.  Either way, the one with the black BKG is nice.....nice find.

we are trying, but ran out of steam.

the spinning one needs some refinement.


We are having a real problem though, and that's how to make a GIF with a transparent background without looking really pixelated along the edges.  anyone have a clue as to how to select the edges without them turning white and keeping them anti-aliased?

You got me there too because I have the same issue when animating any GIF with a transparent BKG.  If/when you find the answer, please post it here for us nubs.

as you know on a solid background it's not an issue, as with your nice Crazy56 image...

pretty cool.  

i've been searching for an answer... maybe it's rendering/animated with an alpha channel built into it already.

Yeah, your sig is transparent at the top with transparent and dithered shadows around the edges.  Very nice sig.  Thanks Jarhead755.
